The greatest air quality concern for the Lone Pine Paiute-Shoshone Reservation are the dust emissions from the Owens Dry Lake, which is located just 5 miles south of the Reservation boundary. The Owens Dry Lake covers 100 square miles and is the largest known source of PM10 in the United States.
